This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in sponsorship sales or selling into technology solutions, big data platforms, SaaS, or cloud-native technologies.
Role Responsibilities
The Sponsorship Sales Manager will be responsible for securing sponsorship revenue across a portfolio of international conferences and events. You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and business development through to negotiation, closing deals, and ongoing account management. You will be responsible for growing revenue by identifying and winning new business opportunities across technology and solution-provider markets. You will also be responsible for growing your existing portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle including lead generation, outreach, pitching, negotiation, closing, and account management
- Drive new business development activity through outbound prospecting, networking, market research, and relationship building
- Manage and grow key client accounts to maximise long-term sponsorship revenue
- Sell sponsorship and marketing solutions to enterprise technology companies, SaaS providers, cloud-native platforms, and big data organisations
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders including C-level executives, sales leaders, and marketing decision-makers
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our products, target industries, competitors, and market trends
- Develop creative, commercially valuable sponsorship opportunities tailored to client business objectives
- Work closely with production, marketing, and operations teams to deliver successful customer-focused events
- Identify potential customers through competitive media, industry events, LinkedIn, referrals, and other business development channels
- Accurately forecast pipeline activity and revenue performance using CRM systems
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- 2+ years of sponsorship sales, B2B business development, or enterprise technology sales experience
- Proven experience selling into enterprise technology, SaaS, cloud-native data platforms, big data, cybersecurity, AI, or related technology markets
- Demonstrated ability to own the full sales cycle from new business generation through to account management and renewals
- Strong business development and prospecting experience with a hunter mentality
- Ambition, resilience, and a strong drive for commercial success
- Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and C-level executives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Highly motivated, organised, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in CRM systems, LinkedIn, Microsoft Outlook, and general office technology
- Evidence of achievement in academic, sporting, or professional environments is highly desirable
