The Role

As a Private Client Solicitor (2–3 years PQE) you will join a respected private client team advising individuals, families and professional contacts on a wide range of private client matters. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues while taking increasing responsibility for your own caseload and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of private client work, including drafting wills, powers of attorney, trusts and related documents.
  • Act for clients on probate and estate administration, guiding executors and beneficiaries through the process with sensitivity.
  • Provide clear and practical tax planning advice, particularly in relation to inheritance tax and lifetime planning.
  • Communicate confidently with clients in person, on the phone and in writing, ensuring a high standard of client care and responsiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other practice areas to deliver holistic advice.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policies, including file management and risk procedures.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–3 years’ PQE in private client work.
  • Solid technical knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, tax planning and related areas.
  • Excellent drafting, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and professional contacts.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with a willingness to contribute to practice development.
