We are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our Wills, Probate & Estate Planning team in Thatcham.
This is a great opportunity for someone with broad Private Client experience who enjoys building strong relationships with clients and providing clear, practical advice at what can often be an important or sensitive time in their lives.
You will manage your own varied caseload with appropriate support and supervision, working as part of a collaborative team committed to delivering an excellent standard of client care.
The role
Your caseload will cover a broad range of Private Client matters, including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Probate and estate administration, including taxable and non-taxable estates
- Deeds of Variation
- Inheritance Tax matters
- Creation and administration of trusts
Alongside managing your caseload, you will build strong relationships with clients, draft legal documentation, progress matters proactively and work closely with colleagues across the firm.
You will also have the opportunity to get involved in marketing and business development, helping to develop relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the team.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience across a broad range of Private Client work
- A good working knowledge of Inheritance Tax
- Experience in the creation and administration of trusts
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- An interest in marketing, networking and business development
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
