The firm is a full-service law firm based in Harrogate. They are a down-to-earth, friendly firm with a total of 23 members of staff across their Leeds and Harrogate offices, and further expansion plans in 2026. The firm is a thriving and expanding law practice committed to serving individuals and businesses with an enviable client base. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an experienced private client team.
The right candidate will have the opportunity for training, development and progression, and will run a caseload independently with supervision and support.
As a private client solicitor working in the private client department, you will deal with all manner of private client work to include Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, probate administration and Court of Protection applications. This will include:
- Liaising and meeting with clients
- Drafting legal documents
- Dealing with third parties such as the land registry, HMCTS and HMRC
- Preparing estate accounts
- Managing client expectations
- Updating databases and case management software
The team will take an active interest in your training and development in this post.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be 1-2 years PQE
- Have strong client care service skills and be able to work to various deadlines
- Possess excellent organisational and time-management skills and work well under pressure
- Have excellent IT skills; experience using case management systems is desirable
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have very good verbal and written communication skills
- Have a clear understanding of confidentiality/Data Protection
- Have the ability to work in a team, whilst having the initiative to work alone
- Have a full clean driving licence (ideally)
