Support Analyst / Support Programmer - (PHP, MySQL applications)

About the role:

The Support Analyst / Consultant role will be office-based in Sutton Coldfield, supporting customers using the company’s software in a 2nd line support role, building a strong technical awareness of the full technical skillset. You will work closely with other teams and developers, sharing knowledge and collectively resolving customer queries while documenting the process. The role involves supporting distributed and web-based applications written in PHP, MySQL. It could develop into joining the development team or doing some on-site consultancy with customers implementing business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support of various web-based business applications written in PHP, MySQL
  • Provide quality assurance and resolve any queries
  • Prioritise resolution of configuration and deployment issues
  • Document the configuration process of the software products to assist with further project implementation
  • Update User Support guides and expand the Support Knowledge base
  • Conduct root cause analysis
  • Perform any other related duties as required by the business, including analysis and advising the customer on best practices

Essential Technical Skills:

Candidates must have some exposure to most of the technologies listed below:

  • Previous support experience of distributed or web-based systems developed in PHP, MySQL
  • IIS & Web Business Applications
  • Microsoft technologies
  • Data Analysis
