We are seeking a dedicated and experienced candidate to join our well-established Residential Conveyancing team as a Conveyancing Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in residential conveyancing who is looking to develop their career within a fast-growing, reputable law firm. You’ll lead and manage the conveyancing department, overseeing day-to-day operations and supervising a close-knit team, while handling a manageable personal caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to post-completion.

Your day-to-day role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the conveyancing department.
- Supervise, mentor, and support team members (both office-based and remote).
- Ensure that monthly MPS and targets are met for each member of the conveyancing department.
- Manage internal systems and workflows to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Approve files and ensure all legal standards are met.
- Identify and manage risks, escalating to the HOLP as required.
Legal Work & Compliance:
- Manage your own small caseload of residential sales and purchases.
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents for transactions.
- Conduct due diligence, including searches, title checks, and identifying potential issues.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors.
- Ensure all files are compliant and transactions meet regulatory requirements.

What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
- Experience with freehold, leasehold, new build, and shared ownership transactions.
- Prior experience managing a department or practice area.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- High standards of client care and professional integrity.
Desirable:
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx).
- Minimum 5 years’ PQE managing a residential conveyancing caseload.
- Familiarity with LEAP case management system.
