Currently recruiting for experienced transport co-ordinators to work for a well established client based in south Birmingham. Paying a competitive salary, working Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm with occasional overtime. My client is offering great career progression within a fantastic team environment and nice fresh building.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Being aware of requirements before passing out work
- Build excellent working relationships with drivers
- Co-ordinate breakdowns
- Manage drivers' time by giving additional work throughout the day
- Keep all departments up to date with any issues or delays and manage customer expectations to achieve service level
- Quality administration, keeping all departments up to date
- Be aware of individual drivers' skills and abilities
- Provide out of hours emergency cover on a rota basis normally with 54 days
- Hold meetings with drivers to build rapport and outline any issues
- Deal with any driver dissatisfaction
- Ensure all work on the system is planned and allocated
- Other ad-hoc duties
