What they’re looking for is a Senior Learning and Development Officer to champion a culture of continuous learning, ensuring employees can fulfil their potential within their roles and enjoy an outstanding learning experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the strategy that supports both operational training and the long-term business plan. What you will need is the ability to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering in challenging conditions, driven by a passion for Learning and Development. This role will suit an articulate individual, who is well organised, has experience of working within the energy industry, and both supervisory and training experience.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Learning & Development Trainer:
- Working in collaboration with the management team and key business stakeholders to design, deliver and implement pragmatic learning solutions.
- Amend and revise training as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a library of up-to-date training resources.
- Promote the L&D function ensuring that managers and colleagues are kept informed of the opportunities available to them.
- Assist Training Manager to resolve all training requirements for various customer operations.
- In conjunction with the Training Manager, create an annual training plan.
- Create a range of individual training, coaching and monitoring techniques to suit differing needs.
- Abide by all regulatory and compliance requirements in carrying out the requirements of the role.
Skills and experience required for the Senior Learning & Development Trainer:
- A confident, communicative learning and development professional.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in writing and delivering classroom-based training.
- Excellent planning and prioritising skills.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment with the ability to react to business needs.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft standard packages – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly motivated with the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with people of all levels.
- Experience within the Energy Industry would be desirable.
