About the Role:
We are partnering with a leading Principal Contractor operating on major Civils and Highways schemes, looking to appoint an HSE Manager within their growing Eastern region team. This is a brand-new position supporting a major National Highways programme across the Cambridgeshire / East Anglia, delivering complex infrastructure works including new junction construction, large-scale earthworks, Smart Motorway upgrades and bridge packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HSE leadership across major highways and civils schemes
- Manage and mentor an HSE Advisor within the region
- Support and guide operational teams across multiple live sites
- Act as a key interface with the client and senior delivery teams
- Operate independently across dispersed project locations
- Drive standards, influence behaviours and support commercial delivery
Candidate Requirements:
- Experienced HSE Managers or ambitious Senior Advisors ready to step up will be considered
- Highways experience preferred (bridges, major road schemes, utilities)
- Experience working on large infrastructure schemes
- Comfortable being site-based
- Able to influence and build relationships across operational teams
- Self-sufficient and confident working independently
- Nebosh GC or equivalent, ideally Diploma or working towards
