We’re supporting a major construction programme in Somerset with the appointment of an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join the project team on a permanent basis. This is a key site based role supporting high profile construction and fit out activities across a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will play a visible role in driving standards, supporting operational teams and ensuring a proactive safety culture across the programme. Experience within fit out, complex internal works or working at height environments is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day to day HSE support across construction and fit out activities
- Conduct site inspections, audits and behavioural observations
- Support RAMS reviews and permit systems
- Work closely with site management and subcontractors to drive compliance and engagement
- Lead investigations into incidents, near misses and unsafe acts
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Monitor working at height activities and ensure best practice standards are maintained
- Support client reporting and project compliance requirements
- Promote a positive and solutions focused safety culture on site
Requirements:
- Proven experience within construction project environments
- Strong knowledge of fit out or working at height operations
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent qualification
- Confident engaging with subcontractors and operational teams
- Experience on large scale construction programmes preferred
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence
