We’re looking for an enthusiastic Developer with a strong JavaScript background but also some Ruby on Rails experience. The role will consist of working closely with the lead developers to undertake the development and progression of existing mobile applications, written in Ionic. An integral part of the development process involves a high percentage of application test coverage, ensuring all key aspects and features of the apps are functioning as expected and that future features and applications employ strict TDD principles.
You’ll need to be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team as you’ll be taking part in the majority of the development lifecycle working on potentially complex builds while collaborating with the customer and other individuals within the development team. As our mobile software is written in Ionic, this is a key aspect to the role. Although knowledge of other mobile frameworks like NativeScript or ReactNative along with demonstrating the ability to learn and advance in the language is a plus.

- Web - Knowledge of basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Mobile - Experience with Ionic or good knowledge of other mobile frameworks
- Code - Competent in key coding concepts (e.g. MVC) and the ability to learn new technologies
- Testing - Unit testing and good understanding of TDD
- Source Control - Experience with source control such as Git
- Collaboration - Provide estimates in collaboration with your team in story points
- Planning - Participate and actively engage in all the Scrum activities
- Typically 2 to 5 years experience of web development, an understanding in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- A decent understanding of Ruby and Ruby on Rails

- Usual work hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
