Responsibilities include:
- Reworking and repairing electronic components: This includes troubleshooting and fixing faulty or defective components by using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Diagnostic testing: Conducting tests to identify the root cause of electronic component issues and determining the necessary repairs or modifications.
- Soldering and desoldering: Skilfully performing soldering and desoldering operations to remove and replace electronic components during the rework process, ensuring proper connections and minimizing thermal stress.
- Quality control: Ensuring that reworked components meet the required specifications, including functionality, performance, and visual standards, through thorough inspection and testing.
- Documentation and record-keeping: Maintaining accurate and organized documentation of all repairs, modifications, and testing results performed on electronic components, ensuring traceability and facilitating future reference.
- Equipment maintenance: Regularly inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining soldering equipment, tools, and workstations to ensure they are in optimal condition for performing rework operations.
Desirables include:
- Proficient soldering abilities - capable of working with surface mount components as small as 0201 size.
- Demonstrated expertise in surface mount technology (SMT) rework.
- Demonstrated expertise in reworking conventional through-hole components.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and bills of materials.
- Uphold excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Having experience in BGA rework, track repairs, and modifications will be highly advantageous.
Schedule: Mon – Thu 07:45 -16.15, Fri – 07:45-12:45
