Perform Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Port Vehicle Operator role in Belfast. This is a practical, hands-on position in a busy port environment. You will be responsible for operating port vehicles, managing freight and trailers, and supporting vessel operations while maintaining safety and efficiency across the port.
Key Duties:
- Operate Tugmasters and other port vehicles to safely move trailers, containers, and other cargo.
- Support loading, unloading, and mooring operations of vessels.
- Direct vehicles and assist with traffic flow for both freight and passenger transport.
- Ensure all port areas are clean, organised, and safe.
- Follow operational protocols, safety rules, and company procedures.
- Work alongside colleagues to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Adapt to new equipment and procedures as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience driving large vehicles such as HGVs, Tugmasters, or agricultural machinery.
- Previous experience in logistics, port operations, or transportation is desirable.
- Strong focus on safety and procedure compliance.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
- Able to work rotating shifts and perform physical, hands-on tasks.
- Living within commuting distance of Belfast.
