Our client is a privately owned freight forwarder who specialise in a unique sector of the market and due to expansion are currently looking for an Export Clerk to work at their offices based in Basildon. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to progress within Export freight forwarding as the company offers excellent promotion potential for the right candidate with opportunities given for further progression as the company is looking to develop the candidate with time to hopefully progress them to a more senior level of Exports with additional responsibilities and challenges.
Duties will include:
- Handling the Chicago consolidation service
- Handling certain consolidation movements for the general New York consolidation office
- Assist with Australia bookings from the warehouse and advising the Melbourne office
- Inputting Data entry for the business
- Invoicing out clients
- Potentially handling pre advising out US office for consolidation containers
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Salary: £30k negotiable depending on experience.
Requirements:
- Experience of working within ocean freight container exports
- Must have excellent data entry skills with an attention to detail.
- Must have experience working with Excel, Teams and shared mailbox.
