We currently have a Lead Nursery Nurse role in London SE6 area for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse or Room Leader. The Nursery has capacity for over 70 children. As Lead Nursery Role your role would be to work closely with the other Senior members of staff and to oversee the training of new staff members and trainees to give them better understanding of working in the Nursery and to work within the EYFS regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of Level 3 Early years qualification and at least 12 months experience as a Senior Nursery Nurse or Room Leader in a similar role.

Room Leader Duties include but not limited to:

  • Viewing planning sheets and record keeping of all the staff
  • Ensuring routines are being followed and run smoothly
  • Ensuring new decisions are taken on board and maintained in the room at all times
  • Ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed by all staff
  • Being an excellent role model to the other staff in your room

Room Leader Skills / Qualifications:

  • Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Childcare Qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ post qualification
  • Relevant childcare qualifications in accordance with OFSTED guidelines
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS
  • Empathetic, caring and friendly
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude
  • Patient
  • Proven supervisory and coaching experience
