The role is working as an individual on an assembly production area, but within a team environment producing Steel Shutter doors. Satisfying daily capacity by meeting deadlines as a team is a key factor; therefore, the ability to communicate with ease within the team is essential.

The Company has a core skill payment system that is progressive every 6 months to achieve multi-skilled status within the business.

Essentials:
  • The individual must be able to show commitment to learning and a willingness to develop within the business.
  • Have an excellent understanding of Health and Safety to yourself and others within the team, and have undertaken manual handling training.
  • A proactive approach to quality and an understanding of Continuous Improvement, with a background in general assembly work which can be encompassed in the use of hand power tools.
  • PC literate with excellent numerous skills should be second nature; a flexible approach and a willingness to learn new skills will be a key contributor.
  • An understanding of 6S and what this means to the working area with examples of past interaction.
  • Ability to measure accurately and have ownership for the process is a key factor, with a desire to improve all areas associated with the Commercials area.
  • Outstanding time and attendance, good health and flexibility will be required for this role.
  • Welding and/or Fabrication skills and ability to work with steel products is desired but not essential.

Hours of work: 7.30am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, 8.00am – 2.00pm Fri.
