Our client is a turnkey systems integrator specialising in advanced perimeter and electronic security solutions for Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and Defence environments. Due to continued growth, they are expanding our Operations Team.
Role Overview
As a Security Installation Engineer, you will install and support electrical and electronic security systems across CNI and Defence sites. This includes IP CCTV, access control, intruder detection, PIDS, secure networks, and integrated security platforms. You will work in sensitive environments, ensuring all installations meet strict technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install IP CCTV, access control, intruder detection, PIDS, electric fencing, secure networks, and integrated systems (e.g., Gallagher, Lenel, Milestone, Synectics, Bosch, Axis).
- Work to CNI security standards, technical specifications, and British/European regulations.
- Interpret design drawings and schematics; complete red-line mark-ups and installation documentation.
- Identify and report risks impacting system readiness and operational continuity.
- Support smooth handover between Installation and Commissioning teams.
- Attend site meetings and maintain compliance with safety, security, and cybersecurity requirements.
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience installing enterprise-level security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder, PIDS).
- Experience working in CNI, Defence, or other secure/government environments (advantageous).
- Strong technical knowledge of platforms such as Gallagher, Lenel, Milestone, Axis, Avigilon.
- Ability to produce accurate installation/test records and technical documentation.
- Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills; proactive and solutions-focused.
- Ability to obtain SC or DV clearance when required.
- Relevant industry qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
