A Lloyd's of London specialty insurance group is looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Analyst to have key responsibilities in the elicitation, analysis, documentation and communication of Business Intelligence needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the adoption and promotion of the BI strategy ensuring that it remains central to decisions made on change initiatives. Actively flag any deviation from the strategy to the wider BI team and assist in the strategy's upkeep by making recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan and organise requirements solicitation sessions through interviews, workshops and shadowing with business users. Analyse findings and translate requirements into functional specifications, data/report specifications and implementation plans.
  • Produce wireframes and prototypes to demonstrate and playback requirements to business teams.
  • Produce user guides and assist with rolling out training.
  • Maintain supporting documentation such as data dictionaries.
  • Investigate and analyse data assets and liaise with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs.
  • Work with developers to ensure clear understanding of objectives and ensure design meets requirements.
  • Support the test teams in translating functional specifications into test scenarios and assist in the execution of test plans.
  • Support other business intelligence members as and when required in regards to project duties.
  • Commit to continuous development through structured skills and personal or professional competence enhancement programmes.
  • Establish relationships throughout the business to ensure excellent information flow and feedback on impacts of process, policy and system changes.
  • Participate in the analysis, design and development of the architecture for all business intelligence components (e.g. tool integration strategy; source system data ETL strategy, data staging, movement and aggregation; information and analytics delivery; and data quality strategy).
  • Participate in Scrum team activities, including daily stand-up, product grooming and show & tell sessions.
