A leading specialty insurance group providing clients with proven smart risk solutions for underwriting and claims is looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Team Lead to lead a number of BI teams from a technical standpoint. You will work closely with BI development teams during the design and hands-on implementation of multi-dimensional database models (logical and physical), data marts, data warehousing, data transforms, data analytics and reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of the architecture for all business intelligence components (e.g. tool integration strategy; source system data ETL strategy, data staging, movement and aggregation; information and analytics delivery; and data quality strategy)
- Create, optimise, and schedule ETL packages, analysis services cubes and reporting/information systems ensuring all developed components adhere to published standards and conventions
- Work alongside BI Business Analysts to gather requirements through solicitation sessions with business users and translate requirements into technical architecture vision and implementation plan
- Ensure that our Data warehouse development standards are aligned to our SDLC and BI strategy and that our systems are reliable, scalable, and relevant while promoting best practices within the BI development team
- Plan and organise the translation of functional specifications into technical design and test scenarios and execute test plans
- Lead team members, providing guidance, motivation and direction to ensure work is produced to a good and consistent standard
- Work in the scrum team following agile methodologies. Also work with product owner and scrum master to instil agile best practices within the BI development team
