We are looking for a passionate and skilled

Sushi Chef to join our team at Jang, a vibrant restaurant Jang, located in the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange.

About the Role

As a Sushi Chef at Jang, you will play a key role in our kitchen, responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi and Asian-inspired dishes.

You will be working closely with the Head Chef and supporting the kitchen’s day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sushi and other

Asian-inspired dishes to the highest standards.

  • Support the Head Chef with the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to and communicate these effectively to the team.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to produce high-quality food and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen to meet hygiene standards.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience

Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation is essential! Previous experience in a similar role within an Asian cuisine restaurant is highly desirable.

  • Skills: A passion for creating high-quality dishes with a keen eye for detail.
  • Work Ethic: Highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues and the Head Chef.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Korean and Japanese cuisine is a bonus.
  • Legal Right to Work: Must have legal rights to work in the UK.
