Workplace description: This hotel is perfectly placed to explore the best of what the Lake District has to offer and is surrounded by a variety of walks and beautiful views from almost all rooms. It boasts two function rooms, the largest of which can hold 120 people for a formal function, plus a restaurant, and a traditional pub which serves real ale and has low oak beams, flag stone floors, and a warm Cumbrian welcome. Guests on Business have a choice of two dedicated conference suites. There is also a coffee shop plus an indoor swimming pool and sauna. Friendly and helpful staff is waiting to help make your stay a memorable one.
Main duties and responsibilities: As the inspirational driving force behind the kitchen's operations, you'll be the brains behind everything from the creation of imaginative menus to the recruitment and training of staff, ordering stock, quality control, health and safety and the achievement of budgetary targets.
Essential criteria: You will have experience of working in a similar standard establishment, with an excellent attitude towards learning, be passionate about good quality cuisine and show dedication to your career. A stable background is desired for this position. Rosette experience would be advantageous. This role would also suit a Sous Chef looking to take the next step up in their career.
