We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join a growing surveying consultancy delivering projects across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with a strong topographical surveying background who is looking to take on a senior role within an established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading survey projects, managing client relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality survey data across a range of sectors.
Whilst topographical surveying experience is essential, candidates with utility surveying and measured building surveying experience will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver topographical surveys across a variety of commercial, infrastructure and development projects.
- Lead survey projects from initial planning through to final deliverables.
- Establish and maintain survey control networks.
- Process and quality-check survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Produce survey outputs using industry-standard software.
- Liaise with clients, project managers and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Mentor and support junior surveyors and technicians.
- Assist with project planning, resource allocation and programme management.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality and health & safety procedures.
- Support business development activities and client relationship management where required.
- Significant experience within the surveying industry.
- Strong background in topographical surveying.
- Experience managing projects and survey deliverables.
- Proficient in the use of Leica, Trimble or similar survey equipment.
- Experience processing survey data and producing accurate deliverables.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout Scotland as required.
- Utility surveying experience.
- Measured building surveying experience.
- Laser scanning experience.
- Experience using AutoCAD, N4CE, LSS or similar survey software.
- Experience mentoring junior surveyors.
- Relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics or a related discipline.
