Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Utility Surveyor to join their established surveying team. Working on a wide range of projects across infrastructure, commercial, residential and public sector developments, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality utility mapping services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading utility surveys, mentoring junior team members and ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with PAS 128 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and lead PAS 128 compliant utility surveys.
  • Detect and map underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
  • Manage survey projects from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Mentor and support junior surveyors and field teams.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders on site.
  • Ensure all survey work meets company, client and industry standards.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks on survey data and deliverables.
  • Assist with project planning, resource allocation and survey methodology.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety.

Requirements Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Utility Surveyor.
  • Proven experience delivering PAS 128 utility surveys.
  • Strong knowledge of utility detection techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience using GPR and electromagnetic locating equipment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • NVQ in Utility Mapping or equivalent.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Street Works qualification.
  • Confined Spaces certification.
  • Topographical surveying experience.
