Our client is a well-established surveying consultancy delivering a range of measurement and geomatics services across the property, infrastructure, utilities and construction sectors throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Land Surveyor to join their expanding team and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Land Surveyor to support a variety of projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor looking to further develop their technical expertise while working with cutting-edge surveying equipment and software. The successful candidate will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from planning and data acquisition through to processing and final deliverables.

Working closely with senior surveyors and project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and to the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior surveyors and project delivery teams to determine the most appropriate survey methods and technologies for each project.
  • Undertake all surveying activities associated with assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company quality, accuracy and health & safety standards.
  • Carry out topographical, measured building and laser scanning surveys across a variety of environments.
  • Manage survey data throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all information is collected, processed and delivered in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support project planning, logistics and site coordination, liaising with colleagues, subcontractors and site stakeholders where required.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance, ensuring all deliverables are accurate and client-ready.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, support continuous improvement and promote best practice.
  • Work flexibly, including occasional travel and night work where project requirements demand.
Requirements
  • Essential
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a surveying role.
  • Experience carrying out topographical surveys, measured building surveys and laser scanning projects.
  • Relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical understanding of modern surveying equipment and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Experience using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Cyclone and N4CE.
  • Strong IT skills and an interest in adopting new technologies and survey workflows.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for project work.
  • Desirable
  • Experience working across infrastructure, construction or utilities projects.
  • Knowledge of point cloud processing and survey data management.
  • Experience mentoring junior surveyors or supporting project delivery teams.
