We’re recruiting for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a specialist provider delivering complex care to adults and/or children in their own homes across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. This is a varied clinical role combining case management, assessments, clinical governance, staff development and hands-on support to ensure clients receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
This role is perfect for:
- A Registered Adult and/or Children’s Nurse with a current NMC PIN
- Someone with proven community Complex Care experience
- A confident clinician experienced in assessing clients and developing bespoke care plans
- Someone passionate about supporting, supervising and developing care teams
- A nurse comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with wider MDT professionals
In this role, you will:
- Assess new Complex Care referrals and develop comprehensive, person-centred care plans
- Review existing packages and ensure care remains safe and appropriate
- Complete clinical and environmental risk assessments
- Support the safe mobilisation and discharge of clients into community-based care
- Supervise, appraise and support nurses and Healthcare Assistants
- Conduct spot checks and ensure best practice across care packages
- Deliver specialist clinical training and identify ongoing development needs
- Work closely with operations teams to select and integrate appropriate care staff
- Maintain strong clinical governance, safeguarding and CQC compliance
What we’re looking for:
- Current NMC registration as an Adult and/or Children’s Nurse
- Demonstrable clinical competence supporting complex care clients in the community or their own homes
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and domiciliary care standards
- Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management
- Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
- Confidence working both autonomously and as part of an MDT
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Previous supervisory or recruitment experience would be advantageous
