We are currently seeking an experienced AV Technician to join our team based at a prestigious 5 star London venue. This is a varied role in which you will get involved with all areas of event delivery from client show rounds and the initial quote stage through to de-rig.
The ideal candidate will have a flexible can-do attitude, strong technical ability, outstanding client facing skills and share our passion for exceptional client service!
Role and Responsibilities- Working closely with the resident Technical Account Manager, you will deliver, install and de-rig AV equipment providing a superior quality audiovisual service that goes beyond client expectations.
- You will support with the planning of jobs and client quotes, ensuring all administration is carried out in a timely fashion.
- You will meet and greet clients on arrival to ensure they are happy with the equipment set up, providing instruction on how to operate the equipment and technical support where necessary.
- In the absence of the Technical Account Manager you will attend sales, production and weekly operations meetings, in addition to conducting client show rounds.
- You will also work closely with our warehouse and logistics teams to ensure kit is prepped, delivered and returned as required.
- Broad knowledge of audio, video, networking, and lighting techniques is essential.
- Demonstrated technical/electronics training, and/or experience within the AV live event industry is required.
- Must have good troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Must be creative and resourceful, team-oriented, have a positive attitude and great customer service skills, with strong communication skills, and able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to take directions as well as multitask in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
A minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday. Overtime will be required as necessitated by the needs of the business which will include early mornings, late evenings and weekends. Overnight stays will also be required occasionally. The ability to facilitate this is key as the needs of the business are paramount.
Physical RequirementsThe duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk, as well as push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, kneel, and lift and/or move 25kg. Other physical requirements of the role include communication, excellent aural skills and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will not always be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
