A temporary opportunity is available for an HGV Class 2 Driver to support general haulage and distribution work in Ossett. This is a days-based role offering a minimum of 8 hours’ pay, with the potential for permanent employment.

Key responsibilities
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle in line with road and transport regulations
- Complete local, regional or nationwide deliveries and collections as required
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Load, secure and handle goods safely
- Complete delivery paperwork and use relevant transport systems accurately
- Provide a professional and helpful service at collection and delivery points
- Follow company procedures, driving laws and health and safety requirements
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 entitlement
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport regulations
- Safe, responsible and reliable approach to driving
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to complete delivery documentation accurately
- Previous Class 2 driving experience is advantageous
