HGV Class 2 Driver

The company is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to support deliveries from its Bristol operation. This is a permanent, days-based role involving local and long-distance deliveries, multi-drop routes and the safe handling of flooring-related goods.

The company is a UK distributor of flooring products, tools and accessories, supplying trade customers across a range of market sectors. It operates through branches across the UK and provides delivery services supporting flooring contractors and retailers.
Key responsibilities
• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly • Completing local drops, long-distance deliveries and multi-drop routes of more than 10 deliveries • Delivering goods to customers on time and in good condition • Loading, unloading and handballing products as required • Operating a tail lift safely • Securing loads and completing vehicle and delivery checks • Following relevant transport, health and safety requirements • Providing a professional service at each delivery
Skills and qualifications
• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence and appropriate entitlement • Previous experience driving curtainsider vehicles • Experience with handballing and tail-lift deliveries • Comfortable completing local drops and long-distance work • Experience handling multi-drop routes, ideally involving more than 10 deliveries • Good communication and customer service skills • Reliable, safety-conscious and organised approach • Physically able to handle delivery work
