The Role
The RoleWorkchain are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5T Driver to join a well-established operation based in Slough.The role will involve delivering a variety of different products to customers and businesses across the local area and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for ensuring goods are delivered safely, professionally and on time while providing a high standard of customer service.This is a long-term opportunity offering a consistent 4–5 day working pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a 7.5T vehicle safely and responsibly
- Delivering a variety of products to customers and businesses
- Loading and unloading the vehicle as required
- Ensuring goods are secured correctly during transit
- Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining signatures
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Planning and following delivery routes efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
- Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time
- Following all relevant driving, health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Valid 7.5T driving licence
- Previous 7.5T driving experience
- Previous delivery experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Slough and surrounding areas advantageous
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Flexible approach to working 4–5 days per week
- Able to commit to long-term work
