Job Description
We’re looking for a Product Manager – API Integrations & Governance to lead the strategy and execution of Visa Direct APIs. This role is part of the Visa Direct Client Experience product team within the Visa Direct global product organization. Visa Direct is Visa’s money movement platform. You'll be responsible for crafting seamless, intuitive, and secure API integration experiences including API documentation, and testing environments. You will also drive API governance across all Visa Direct products and services to make it easier for clients to adopt and scale their solutions. Your mission: empower developers — from global & regional banks, FinTech's & enablers —to implement money movement solutions quicky, confidently and at scale.
Key responsibilities

Enable API integration experience across onboarding, authentication, authorization, testing, documentation and go live for payouts to Cards, Accounts and Wallets.

Partner with engineering, architects, design, cross functional product teams, customer success, marketing and sales to deliver API integration experiences for enterprise-grade clients with a focus on simplicity, scale, security, and observability.

Define and track key metrics such as Time to First App, Total time to Integrate, and Developer satisfaction. Measure utilization of our APIs and capabilities and use that to adjust go forward plans.

Enable best in class developer sandbox. Work alongside developer experience product lead to support build and growth of developer docs and tools.

Drive API standards and governance to ensure consistency, backward compatibility, and clarity across money movement products.

Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Implementation managers, Client care specialists and Customer Success to streamline API integration paths for clients.

Represent the developer's voice in API roadmap prioritization, API platform architecture discussions, GTM strategy, and internal governance practice.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Product management experience, focused on developer platforms.
- Good understanding of money movement systems, payment messaging and workflows.
- Track record of building scalable APIs, and developer tooling.
- Excellent technical acumen—you know API standards, have built a basic web app using APIs as a hobby, read about what’s next to improve developer experience and tech integrations. You can debate API & platform design trade-offs with engineers, and design edge cases.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze developer usage patterns and identify friction points.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with stakeholders across product, technology, customer success, marketing and sales.
- Bachelor’s degree or master's in a technical or business field (Ex: Computer Science, BBA, MBA)
