An award-winning, high-growth business based in Blackburn is seeking a Financial Controller to join their business and be in sole charge of the accounting function of the North West division which covers 6 small sites across Lancashire and North Manchester. The successful candidate will lead the financial controls to support the offsite Managing Director and CEO.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary: circa £55,000 - £65,000+ (negotiable)
- Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday. 37.5 hours

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
- Overseeing the cash flow management, monthly management accounts and the financial reporting
- Manage accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and VAT/Tax compliance
- Monthly reporting and managing financial controls
- Hands-on transactional accounting duties
- Maintaining detailed cashflow report to enable the company to effectively manage its cash balance
- Stakeholder management, liaison with local authorities and non-financial managers across 6 sites
- Support the Managing Director and CEO in strategic growth initiatives
- Oversee the expansion of their property portfolio across various regions
- Assist with preparation of year-end annual accounts
- Corresponding with HMRC
Skills and Experience required as an FC Accountant:
- CIMA / CGMA / ACCA / QBE qualified
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- A roll-your-sleeves-up mentality & great work ethic to make an impact and build a foundation for growth
- Commercial business acumen
- An experienced, driven accountant
- Car owner / Driver
- Travel to the further NW sites occurs approx. twice a month
- Office based role
