Are you a Release Manager looking for your next opportunity to manage releases on a platform built for a well-known consumer brand? This is an exciting time to join a global organisation who are currently re‑imagining their customer experiences across all touchpoints, whether that be mobile, web, tablet or retail. You’ll work collaboratively across a cross‑functional team - including technical and non‑technical stakeholders - to oversee site optimisation and improvement programmes across a number of markets.

This role will suit someone with experience working as a Release Manager or similar on a global website or platform build. As a Release Manager, you will:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the platform and understand how platform releases will impact the wider business.
  • Plan and organise release management activities in alignment with the platform timeline.
  • Oversee the release of new and optimised functionality on the platform.
  • Manage the release schedule, working closely with both third‑party suppliers and global teams.
  • Collaborate with product and integration teams to prioritise the delivery of features and bugs in sprints.
  • Oversee the scope for the delivery of global digital solutions and ensure these are of the highest quality and within the programme timeframes.
  • Forge strong supplier relationships, managing communication and escalation processes to ensure that release and testing processes are aligned.
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Monitor vendor quality and performance when it comes to feature development and releases.
  • Manage the testing processes to ensure newly developed features meet quality standards and market requirements.
  • Provide support on risk management and mitigation.
  • Ensure quality technical and managing reporting.
  • Work closely with agency partners and business teams to communicate release timings.

From previous experience, you’ll ideally have:

  • Worked as a Release Manager (or similar) for a global or international company.
  • Experience managing release programmes on a global platform build.
  • Experience with enterprise‑level Content Management Systems such as Episerver, IBM WebSphere, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, etc.
  • Working knowledge of platform development tools including JIRA.
  • Worked with development teams in a Scrum or Kanban environment.
  • Experience with short sprint cycles and the full SDLC.
