Senior Release Manager
The client is a large CPG company (Consumer packaged goods) with a global footprint within the Pet Food industry.
The project is to deliver the pilot of a new OMS (Order Management System) connected to multiple WMS (Warehouse management systems), ERPs, and B2B / D2C websites. The OMS is provided by our Associates, and we are currently on the way to delivering our pilot in 3 countries. Our 1st release is for our D2C Business and D2C systems (end of June) and our 2nd release which is the major release for all other sales channels and connected systems is expected on the 18th of September 2023. As a Senior Release Manager, you will be able to make a positive impact on this ongoing work.
We are recruiting a Senior Release Manager to take the lead to identify the strategy, and planning needs, and then executing our pilot in 3 countries to ensure a successful and high-quality release lifecycle

Job Description
The Senior Release Manager holds a critical role within the Order Management Team ecosystem.
β’ You demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience in a release management role in a complex environment (project/organization) with multiple teams and systems.
β’ You have a strong technical background with advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
β’ You worked across different teams involved in the software development processes and have a strong management/coordination background.
β’ We are a small team with a global objective, so all our moves must be impactful. An entrepreneurial and startup mentality to drive forward change quickly is required. We need a doer who likes to join this adventure and unlock things and opportunities as we move.
β’ Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to lead by influence across technical and functional teams.
β’ Problem Identification & solving
β’ Experience working within large and advanced omnichannel (DtoC and BtoB) corporate environment is a must, with multiple systems and endpoints.
Your key roles and responsibilities
For D2C release (1st release β end of June):
β’ You co-lead with the RC DTC Release Manager the release planning and coordination
β’ Continuously monitor and provide reports about their progress.
β’ Managing Cutover activities (pre-defined).
β’ Ensuring high-quality and successful release.
β’ Scheduling, managing, and coordinating this Full Go Live Release across multiple applications across different teams and projects.
β’ Constructing a release calendar along with the different projects/teams to have a centralized view of all releases.
β’ Assist our team to develop a cutover strategy and manage cutover activities.
β’ Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.
β’ Ensuring all team members are adhering to the full release plan and engineering best practices.
β’ Continuously monitor projects and provide reports about their progress.
β’ Monitoring the release process and collecting feedback from the different teams.
β’ Making improvements on a regular basis to the release process.

Location: Remote β based in Europe. 2-week travel to Germany required in September (expenses paid)
Schedule: Full-time. Language: English.
Period: immediate start to end of September 2023. Extension opportunities to cover next releases (CIP, new market deployment, etc)
