We are looking for you an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our Installations Team who will work with the Warehouse Manager to improve and develop warehouse operating systems by determining handling and storage requirements; implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving items, equipment and plant servicing, inventory management and organisation. You’ll also be responsible for the health and safety policy and procedures within the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment for our colleagues and visitors.

RequirementsDaily Tasks:
- Organising the Warehouse, making sure the warehouse is tidy and safe.
- Operating and moving the forklifts and daily checks on the forklifts for defects.
- Maintaining a virtual warehouse.
- Collating a daily defect reports and informing the Operations Manager of the defects.
- Issuing PPE/Uniforms and registering items.
- Daily Equipment checks.
- Ensuring vehicles are delivered for service in line with bookings.
- Be responsible for, promote and lead on Health and Safety in the Warehouse and surrounding work area.
- Assist with the site housekeeping.
- Deal with deliveries to the site.
- Act as a driver fitter as and when required by the business.
Weekly and Monthly tasks:
- Complete packing material stock takes.
- Update equipment service planner.
- Oversee the booking of plant and equipment inspections.
- Monitor the return of vehicle and equipment service sheets.
- Complete weekly workplace inspections.
- Conduct fire alarm tests and drills.
- Sign off corrective actions on defect sheets.
- Complete checks for hazards and correct issues.
- Complete first aid stock checks.
- Complete packing comparison checks.
- Complete AED checks.
- Manage the waste on site.
- Ensure Tyre inspections are being completed.
- Experience as a warehouse operative.
- Fork Lift Truck licence is essential (Counterbalance & Reach truck).
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements.
- Strong Organisation skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Qualification in logistics, supply chain management is desirable.
- Containerised Storage Experience Preferred.
Due to the volatile nature of jobs coming in on short notice, flexibility to the nature of the industry is key. Ability to work away in the UK and Europe when required, staying in approved accommodation with travel expenses.
