The Workplace Team Leader (WPTL) is a pivotal role in the delivery of service for our client’s prestigious site. You must take full responsibility and lead the cleaning provision.
You will be responsible for managing a team of up to 10 cleaning operatives, this includes being the first point of contact for any or all employee concerns. Therefore, the ability to build strong working relationships is vital to this role. You will also have your own specification to clean the building.
You will be responsible for completing site specific documentation and undertake weekly audits on behalf of the cleaning service.

- Work flexibly across the shifts to provide support to the team
- To ensure essential weekly documents are completed on site
- To apply positive communication to plan your week and minimise the effect of absences or changes to the team
- Control, monitor and manage materials and consumables. Submit orders where appropriate within a timely manner
- Undertake any other reasonable managers requests in line with the role specification
- Liaise and support colleagues to create flexible working relationships
- Ensure equipment and cleaning area is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition
- Report machinery faults and replacements immediately to Workplace Services Manager
- To liaise with client and monitor site delivery, ensuring regular and appropriate communication.
- Client complaints and concerns are investigated and rectified swiftly. Escalate to Workplace Services Manager where required.
- Maintain high standards of conduct and performance for both you and across the cleaning team
- To plan cover across shifts when necessary, communicating effectively with the team and stating the requirements of the cover
- To ensure staffing levels are always maintained when supporting sickness at short notice
- To support the recruitment process within Johnsons’ delivery management team
- To complete new starter documentation and share with your Workplace Services Manager
The role may require you to undertake greater hours than the contracted amount. Monday to Friday - 07:30am to 15:30pm. Ability to cover shifts over a 24 hour period required.
