Senior Air Import Coordinator - Freight Forwarding - Heston - Competitive Salary DOE   About the Company   Our client is a leading international logistics and freight forwarding business providing comprehensive air freight, customs, transport and supply chain solutions to a diverse global customer base. Due to continued activity within their air freight operation, they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Air Import Coordinator to join their established Heston team.   As a Senior Air Import Coordinator, you will manage a high volume of air import shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring all operational, customs, transport, customer service and financial requirements are managed accurately and efficiently.   You will work closely with customers, overseas offices, warehouse and distribution teams, transport providers and internal departments to ensure shipments are handled professionally and with minimal disruption.   Senior Air Import Coordinator - The Details Competitive salary depending on experience Permanent, full-time position 4 on 4 off working pattern - days Opportunity to join an established international logistics and freight forwarding business High-volume air freight import operation Broad exposure across international air freight, customs and transport Opportunity to develop operational, customer service, customs and financial knowledge Supportive and professional working environment Excellent long-term career development opportunities Senior Air Import Coordinator - Requirements Previous experience within air import freight forwarding or logistics is essential Experience processing a range of customs entries Strong understanding of air import procedures and documentation Excellent customer service and communication skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple customers, shipments and customs clearances each day Good financial awareness, including job costing and invoicing Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively Ability to work proactively and use initiative Professional approach to handling customer queries, issues, disputes and complaints Knowledge of CargoWise and Sequoia would be advantageous Ability to remain calm and organised when working within a high-volume operational environment Senior Air Import Coordinator - Responsibilities Review and action shipment pre-alerts Coordinate with overseas origin offices and manage shipment information throughout the import process Prepare and process different types of customs entries Arrange transport and final deliveries in line with customer requirements Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, origin offices and internal departments Liaise with customers by email and telephone, providing accurate shipment updates Monitor shipments and proactively identify and resolve potential issues Complete job costing and invoicing accurately and promptly Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment and customer records across operational systems Build and maintain effective working relationships with origin offices Identify and resolve operational issues to minimise disruption to shipments Support colleagues during periods of absence, holiday or increased workload Follow company procedures and maintain high standards of customer service and operational accuracy About Us   Detail2Recruitment acts as an employment agency in respect of this position.
