We are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor to support a major industrial site project within the Southampton and Portsmouth area. Working as part of a two-person survey team, you will be responsible for delivering high-accuracy survey data across a large-scale industrial environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced surveying technology and contribute to the successful delivery of a high-profile project.
The successful candidate will have experience in traditional surveying techniques, total station observations and site control, with the ability to work safely and effectively within a live operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out high-accuracy traversing and levelling activities.
- Undertake total station observations using Leica survey equipment.
- Capture geospatial data using NavVis VLX SLAM technology.
- Establish and maintain survey control networks.
- Produce accurate site records, survey documentation and shift reports.
- Ensure survey data is collected and recorded in accordance with project requirements.
- Work collaboratively within a two-person survey team under the direction of a Lead Surveyor.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality whilst working within a live industrial environment.
- Support the successful delivery of project milestones and survey outputs.
- Minimum 3 years' practical surveying experience.
- Strong understanding of traditional surveying techniques.
- Experience using total stations and survey control methods.
- Relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Ability to travel and deploy daily within the Southampton and Portsmouth area.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience using NavVis VLX or NavVis MLX systems.
- Experience working within industrial, infrastructure or large-scale construction environments.
- Knowledge of SLAM technology and reality capture methodologies.
- Experience processing and managing survey data.
- Familiarity with Leica survey equipment and software.
