We are currently seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join a growing asbestos consultancy operating across the M62 corridor. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified surveyor looking to join a well-established business delivering asbestos management, refurbishment and demolition surveys across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, public sector and residential properties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 guidance, producing accurate reports and maintaining excellent client relationships throughout the survey process. A company vehicle and fuel card are provided, allowing travel across the region as required.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake Management, Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 guidance.
- Conduct site inspections across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare and residential properties.
- Accurately identify and assess asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
- Collect bulk samples and ensure correct handling procedures are followed.
- Produce detailed survey reports and site documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with current legislation and company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and site contacts.
- Manage workloads effectively to ensure project deadlines are met.
- BOHS P402 – Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings.
- Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor.
- Strong knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
- Experience producing asbestos survey reports.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Additional BOHS qualifications such as P403, P404 or P405.
- Experience working across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
- Familiarity with electronic reporting systems.
- Experience supporting asbestos management programmes.
