Situated in Woolmer Green, a picturesque part of Hertfordshire, The Chequers is an ideal choice be it for business lunches, celebratory meals or just a light bite and drink with friends. The pub has recently undergone a transformational refurbishment and has reopened encompassing an undercover terrace for alfresco dining, large garden, event space for private hire or business meetings and a small selection of stylish guest rooms. It’s beautiful!

Your role as chef:

  • Prepare, cook and present perfect food in accordance with company standards therefore exceeding guest satisfaction at every eating occasion
  • Taking PRIDE in maintaining highest standards of cleanliness
  • Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Adhering accurately and consistently to portion controls
  • Carrying out stock rotation to ensure all food items are within their shelf life, including maintaining correct storage conditions
  • Ensuring the kitchen operation is maintained to the highest of standards with regards to cleanliness and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months chef experience
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Desire to learn, improve and train from those around you
  • A proud individual that always strives to deliver their best
