PURPOSE: To provide a safe and secure transport service for vulnerable adults and children in a dignified manner. VCare24 offers a bespoke service to our clients to meet each individual's requirements. Our Secure transport service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and operates nationwide.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To promote and safeguard the welfare of young people and/or vulnerable adults.
- Must comply and follow VCare24’s Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Must understand, record and utilise the computerised and manual filing systems.
- You must be available for transport duties in accordance with your assigned shift pattern.
- Provide a safe and dignified transport service to all individuals in need of conveyance.
- Provides accurate information and assists in maintaining up to date, accurate and quality data in order to provide feedback to clients.
- Ensure all vehicle safety checks are undertaken prior to conveyance and documented.
- To be aware of and participate in own personal development by attending and contributing to staff meetings, supervision sessions, training courses and other departmental forums.
- Refers to line management/safeguarding officer upon any concerns, suspicions, evidence or allegations in relation to child protection.
- The postholder must be flexible to ensure the operational needs of VCare24 are met.
- Maintains confidentiality within the workplace and ensures all sensitive information is correctly stored.
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation places responsibilities for health and safety on VCare24 and you as an employee.
GENERAL: The above principal accountabilities are not exhaustive and may vary without changing the character of the job or level of responsibility. All staff will be offered a 40 hour per week contract. All staff will be given a shift pattern as outlined above. Any overtime will be paid additionally. All staff are required to attend a full in-depth 10-day induction training regime. All staff must hold a full driving license. All staff must be over the age of 21 (for insurance purposes) with no more than 3 points on their license. A full Enhanced DBS will be completed.
Personal Attributes: Reliable, hard working, available to work flexible shifts, have previous experience working in Mental Health, have good communication skills, and work well within a team.
