  • 5 days a week, 9:00am - 5:30pm (flexibility required), with a weekend duty management rota
  • Our client is seeking an experienced

Engineering Team Leader to join a prestigious luxury residential development in Central London.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a qualified engineer who enjoys carrying out reactive maintenance while overseeing the day-to-day engineering operation.

You will lead by example, ensuring the highest standards of service are delivered to residents while managing contractors and supporting the wider building operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day engineering operation.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and diagnostics across the building.
  • Supervise and coordinate specialist contractors and maintenance works.
  • Manage two on-site subcontracted Residence Engineers and M&E contractors.
  • Plan, organise and monitor preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance and health & safety requirements are met.
  • Maintain excellent communication with residents, contractors and the building management team.
  • Support the General Manager with engineering operations and service delivery.
  • Participate in the weekend duty management rota with the other Team Leaders.

Requirements

  • Proven engineering experience within luxury residential, 5-star hotel or high-end commercial environments.
  • HVAC qualification.
  • BMS knowledge and experience.
  • Plumbing qualification.
  • Electrical qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of swimming pool plant would be advantageous
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Comfortable remaining hands-on while leading the engineering function.
  • Salary & Benefits
  • £37,000 - £43,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
  • 5.6 weeks' annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
