3-step interview process
London, UK (on-site 5 days/week)
Build software that moves metal, not metrics. This is not another SaaS dashboard role. You’ll build and scale the software that runs real factories, powering machine tools that produce precision parts for advanced aerospace and defence applications. You’ll see your work running on the shop floor, every single day.
We’re a fast-growing industrial tech company building a proprietary operating system for modern manufacturing, reinventing how factories plan, quote, monitor, and execute production at scale. The mission is big: help re-industrialise the West by making manufacturing faster, more resilient, and software-defined.
What you’ll do:
- Architect and ship critical systems for factory automation, real-time data processing, and operator-facing UX
- Own full-stack delivery across infrastructure, backend services, data pipelines, and front-end experiences (plus room to touch ML and real-time monitoring)
- Work directly with leadership and the shop floor to turn operational pain into software products that unlock throughput and reliability
- Deploy fast, iterate faster with tight feedback loops inside real factory environments
- Build fault-tolerant systems that operate in demanding, high-stakes production settings
- Optimise machine utilisation and help orchestrate a growing network of production facilities
What we’re looking for:
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong full-stack fundamentals and excellent coding habits (quality, testing, reviews, reliability)
- A generalist mindset: you enjoy jumping between layers and solving what matters most
- Comfort operating with high autonomy and high ownership
- A bias to action: you turn messy real-world problems into elegant systems
- Slight preference for strong UX / front-end capability (you care about operators, not just architecture)
Bonus points if you have any of the following:
- Founder or founding engineer experience in a fast-paced startup
- Exposure to aerospace, defence, or other mission-critical industries
- Experience building real-time systems, monitoring, or industrial workflows
Why join:
- Real-world impact: your code runs factories, not slides
- Mission-critical industry: build the software backbone for strategic manufacturing
- Full-stack ownership: manufacturing execution workflows, AI-driven quoting, data ontology, UX, automation
- High-agency team: no heavy middle management, just builders
- Exceptional equity opportunity: meaningful ownership in a company scaling rapidly
- Factory-first environment: you’ll work where hardware meets software, on-site in London
- Bold scaling model: software designed to power a future network of hundreds of factories across the UK, Europe, and the US
About the company:
The company already operates multiple factories across the UK and US and is scaling aggressively toward dozens of sites by the end of 2026. The team is small (around 17 people) and well-funded (around $9M), combining experience from top-tier engineering organisations, industrial leaders, and high-performance backgrounds.
