Location: Scape, London

Hours: 40 hours per week. Your normal working hours will be on a shift basis to cover the hours of 07:00 and 20:00 Monday to Sunday each week. You will also be part of an on-call rota which will include evenings and weekends.

As a Maintenance Operative, your main responsibilities would be:

  • Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance work (carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing, basic electrical, guttering, decorating, plastering, kitchen and bathroom maintenance and more)
  • Carry out fault finding and leak investigations
  • Carry out repairs and/or additional work arising from examinations and investigations
  • Comply with Health and Safety processes and responsibilities
  • Complete reports and paperwork as required
  • Oversee and work alongside the maintenance team of your site and the work carried out
  • Stock-taking (where appropriate) and keep records of stock levels
  • Ensure that plant rooms and other maintenance areas are kept tidy and equipment is checked on a regular basis. Faulty or broken equipment is to be reported and resolved through liaison with your Maintenance Manager
  • Control and direct specialist sub-contractors at all times when they visit site
  • Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Participate in regular, structured on-call system within the UK
  • To be responsible for all keys and locks within the site
  • Undertake painting duties where applicable
