Arc Partnership is a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, formed in 2016 to support the council in creating an efficient, safe, and sustainable land and property portfolio. We deliver multi-disciplinary services and consult, design, build, manage and maintain on behalf of the council and the communities and people it represents. We provide value for money, quality of output, and customer excellence to support regeneration and economic growth, for Nottinghamshire and beyond. We believe in creating meaningful change, and since 2016, we’ve been a strategic partner for Nottinghamshire County Council.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Architect to join Arc Partnership’s architectural team - an RIBA chartered practice. Working within the Design Team, this role will lead in the preparation of architectural and technical design solutions, coordinating design information, and specification writing whilst delivering a comprehensive design service in an efficient, effective and economic manner.

Your New Role

  • Lead in architectural and technical design, liaising with other members of the design team and clients, including the review of incoming third-party information and integration of design information, that protects the design and client’s brief.
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion, where necessary identifying project and/or commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Work as part of a technical team, setting and controlling technical expectations and facilitating clear and open lines of communication across the multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Lead and assist as appropriate, in responding to client, contractor, and consultant queries attending meetings and site visits as and when required.
  • Responsible for the production, co-ordination and effective communication of designs on a range of projects in 2D/3D using Autodesk Revit, appropriate visualisation and phot-editing software.
  • Lead the compilation of technical reports and essential documentation for bids and expressions of interest.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Architecture/Architectural Technology.
  • A portfolio of significant experience working as an Architect.
  • Post qualification evidence of CPD / RIBA core curriculum topics.
  • Technical design experience working as part of a design team with a variety of clients, stakeholders and consultants.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to use own initiative to plan and manage and prioritise own work programme, projects and other resources.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate with internal and external teams and an ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and reconcile differences.
  • Knowledge of current & emerging technical design, construction and environmental issues, legislative requirements and statutory responsibilities pertaining to the role.
  • Proficient in, and with demonstrable working knowledge of Revit for both 3D collaborative design and 2D production information output.
