We are recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving secondary school SEND provision from September. This rewarding role involves working closely with students who have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), providing both academic and pastoral support to help them succeed inside and outside the classroom.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support students with Moderate Learning Difficulties in lessons and intervention sessions
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SEND professionals to implement support strategies
- Build positive relationships with students, helping them overcome barriers to learning
- Assist in creating an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress and celebrate student achievements, no matter how big or small
