The role
As a Direct Entry Captain, you’ll take command of regional operations across Loganair’s network, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time performance. You’ll champion SOPs, lead effective crew coordination, and make measured decisions in dynamic environments while upholding our commitment to professionalism, safety, and team spirit.
What you’ll bring
- Strong technical flying ability with in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety practices, and flight operations.
- Excellent cockpit communication and a professional, collaborative leadership style.
- Calm, decisive judgment under pressure with sound, timely decision-making.
- Proven teamwork and mentorship skills within multi-crew operations.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
Minimum requirements
- Currently or recently operated in command on a multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10 t or 19+ pax).
- License: ATPL (UK CAA only).
- Medical: Class 1.
- English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
- Type rating: Not required — training provided.
- Right to work: Eligible to live and work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Preferred:
- Valid ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 Type Rating.
