Permanent People are looking for an experienced Executive Search professional, Practice Lead or Director to build and lead a Private Equity search practice within a fast-growing boutique firm.
We are partnering with an ambitious boutique executive search firm that's quickly establishing itself within financial services.
With a team of just five people, they've already built an impressive reputation and are now looking for someone to launch and grow their Private Equity practice.
They currently operate in the EMEA region, with plans to expand to the US and APAC.
If you've ever wanted to build something with genuine backing, without corporate politics or endless internal meetings, this could be exactly that opportunity.
The role
You'll have the freedom to develop a Private Equity practice your way.
Initially you'll be hands-on, winning and delivering retained search assignments while building relationships across private equity firms and portfolio companies.
Longer term?
You'll build a team around you, shape the strategy and become a key part of the firm's leadership.
This isn't about inheriting someone else's desk.
It's about creating your own business within the business.
- Who we're looking for
- 5+ years' recruitment experience
- A background in executive search or retained recruitment
- Experience recruiting into Private Equity or Financial Services front office markets
- A consistent billing history of £300,000+ annually
We'd also love to speak with exceptional contingent recruiters who work on senior leadership mandates and want to move into a true search environment.
Why join?
- Boutique business with exciting growth plans
- Opportunity to build and lead your own practice
- Genuine equity and profit share potential
- High-quality retained search work
- Entrepreneurial culture where good ideas are listened to
- Low ego, collaborative team
- Flexible hybrid working (3 office / 2 home)
- Salary between £80,000-£120,000 depending on experience
- The culture
- This isn't one of those businesses that talks about \"work hard, play hard.\"
It's simply a group of intelligent, commercially minded people who enjoy what they do.
No egos. No internal politics. No unnecessary KPIs.
Just high standards, ambitious growth plans and plenty of opportunity for the right person.
If you're already successful but feel like you've hit a ceiling where you are, this could be the move that genuinely changes the trajectory of your career.
