Production Technican - Southampton

A growing advanced manufacturing business working at the forefront of quantum and photonics technology is looking for a Production Technician to join its team in Southampton.

You’ll work across a production site and university cleanroom environment, manufacturing high-quality optical devices used across science and technology markets.

The role will involve - Production Technican - Southampton

  • Cleanroom and wafer-scale processing
  • Photolithography, sputtering and furnace processing
  • Dicing, polishing, acid processing and inspection
  • Handling small and delicate components using microscopes
  • Completing production records, quality reports and process logs
  • Working closely with the wider team to meet production deadlines
  • Identifying and suggesting improvements to production processes

We're looking for someone with - Production Technican - Southampton

  • Experience in wafer-scale optical or semiconductor processing within a cleanroom
  • A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • A methodical approach to problem solving
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • A full UK driving licence and own transport

📍Southampton - Onsite
💵 Up to £35,000

Experience with 5S/Lean, chemical handling, optics, waveguides, PPLN or non-linear optics would be beneficial.
