Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reception Service Clerk to work in Reception Services within Patient Access and Administration. With demand on our services at an all-time high, the role our department provides has never been more critical.

We have seven positions available to support Reception Services at Oldham Royal Hospital which are full-time 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with users of the Reception Service through excellent communication and customer services skills particularly colleagues within PAA.
- Perform reception duties for receptions staffed by Reception Services including Outpatients, Physio, Cardio-Respiratory Investigations, CDC and Endoscopy units.
- Provide a friendly and approachable patient reception service across Trust reception desks, across Trust sites and service areas delivering a high level of professionalism and customer service for each patient and the Trust\’s clinical teams.
- Check patients into and out of clinics ensuring accurate data capture and entry of patient personal information and clinical information in relation to clinic appointments including information on clinic outcome forms.
- Ensure that the appointment check-in process is undertaken in line with Trust procedures. This includes asking patients questions on overseas visitor\’s status and escalating concerns to the Overseas Visitors Manager and team.
- Ensure data entry onto Trust systems is consistent with workflows and follow standard operating procedures.
- Undertake booking and scheduling of appointments to a range of services including outpatient, diagnostic, endoscopy, day case and inpatient areas, including both full booking and adding to waiting list for services, undertaking partial booking including escalation of capacity issues.
