We have an opportunity available for a Carer Support / Assessment Worker to join the team supporting our Cheshire East Carers Service. This is a community based role. A full driving licence and access to your own reliable transport are essential as carer assessments are often carried out in the carer's home. A good geographical understanding of the local areas is advantageous.
Salary: £13.90 per hour
Hours: 30 hours weekly
Location: Macclesfield and surrounding areas or south areas of Cheshire East

Responsibilities:
- Passionate about empowering and helping carers on a one-to-one basis.
- Provide values-based support, advice and information to service users and carers.
- Assist carers to develop coping strategies, conduct home visits and carer assessments.
- Provide information about mental health and mental health services available to them.
- Have a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of carers and their loved ones.
Qualifications:
- You do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications.
- You must have a full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
- You must be able to travel throughout Macclesfield and the surrounding areas or the south areas of Cheshire East.
- Personal values must align with those of Making Space.
- You will receive on-the-job training and can undertake professional qualifications if desired.
